Overview :
This course is intended for those who are experienced in disaster recovery or contingency planning. Major topic areas identify most parts of a contingency or recovery plan, and also address areas included in the ABCP/CFCP/CBCP designation

Who Should Attend :
This course is designed for individuals who are involved in or manage disaster recovery or business continuity planning functions. In addition, this workshop benefits contingency planners, disaster recovery coordinators and planners, operations managers, communications managers, and disaster recovery planning and recovery team members.

At Course Completion :
Upon completion of the course, participants will have reviewed:

  • The functional components of a plan
  • Components of risk analysis and risk assessment, and how to identify critical business functions
  • Development of recovery alternatives for business functions and communications facilities
  • Development of recovery methods and procedures and techniques for monitoring and controlling recovery plan tests

Pre-requisite(s) :
For those who are experienced in disaster recovery or contingency planning, PMP qualification is recommended.

Mr. Ng had been worked for HP, Sun Microsystems, and Computer Associates. He owns more than 10 years of working experience as Technical Consultant & Project Lead for Storage, Backup and Disaster Recovery Practices for Enterprise Midrange Systems. He have been Project Manager to handle many major projects for the following Government and Public sector customers : Hospital Authority, HK Institute of Edu., Hong Kong Productivity Council, Standard Chartered Bank, HSBC, PCCW, Kerry Logistics, Cathay Pacific etc.

Mr. Ng holds following Project Management / Industry Certifications :

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management (ITIL)
