PRINCE2®是一種兼具邏輯性,組織性的項目管理方法,不強調使用何種工具及技巧,是以業務及生產結果為導向,其自由靈活的彈性,適用於所有類型的項目和環境。PRINCE2® 被稱為項目管理上的實際標準,廣泛被英國及多個歐洲國家政府高度使用,許多世界各地的公共事業單位與私人企業都將其作為他們管理項目的首選方法,其應用主要有IT電腦軟件工程, 電訊服務, 亙聯網服務, 銀行及金融,工程顧問服務等行業。
全球五百強企業中,尤其是歐洲大型企業均會接納及採用PRINCE2®項目管理方法,優先聘用具備PRINCE2®從業資格的高級項目管理人員。就本地而言,香港特別行政區-資訊科技總監辦公室(OGCIO),早就於1996將PRINCE2® 列為首選的項目管理方法。

修讀及參加考試條件 :
學歷及工作經驗要求- 認證機構沒有嚴格規定,建議是現職項目管理人員
參加考試 必須通過本中心安排申請, 並於本中心認可之考試場地舉行考試, 一般考期為每月2次
如學員考獲資格後, 認可證書會由英國APMG®認證機構代表英國商務部發出, 發證時間一般為兩星期
